The second
Youth Think Tank took place on Sunday 13h
July, 2008 and was attended by 25 young people
representing four religious traditions. It turned
out to be another very fruitful encounter. The
following projects were suggested:

A Desmond Tutu
Youth Facebook group where the youth can discuss
matters
-
A Mixit DTDT
youth group on cell phones
-
A cultural
fashion show/ musical event with different foods
etc
-
A 1 day
campaign to “put on glasses to enable you to see
the good in people”
- A “Unite
Tonight” campaign where everyone is encouraged
to invite neighbours and friends of diverse
backgrounds to celebrate diversity
-
A “Leadership”
school for youth
The meeting
expressed its support for on-going events of a
similar nature. The possibility of having two such
encounters per annum, i e in February and July was
discussed. It was also felt that these encounters
could be easily replicated in other centers if we
had the capacity to do so.
